Located within British Jamestoen, this lighthouse is adjacent the fishing harbour. It is also within walking distance of the Ussher Fort (Historic). The Mantse Agbo3naa (Chief's forecourt) is close by , guarded by 2 huge lion statues. The area is popular during the "Chalewote" (translated "Hey, my friend, come let's go") Festival held yearly in the month of September/October???

In the heart of Accra, learn the culture of the Ga people and visit one of the oldest settlements in Accra. The Lighthouse is a piece of colonial history that is well-preserved and worth exploring for the magnificent views of the city. We can arrange a visit with our escort, who can introduce you to local elders and priests, for a deeper understanding of the history and culture of the area.

one outstanding edifice built in the 50's, its open to tourist and gives you a wonderful view over the fishing community around it. Every weekend a Walking Tour is organised in Jamestown (Accra), the tour enables you to explore Ghana’s oldest suburb. Set on the coast of downtown Accra. The neighbourhood has a fascinating history and vibrant local community. Get to experience its tragic slaving past to its colourful present.
