Breath taking views! If you come in from the Compton trailhead it is a tough hike 5hrs minimum not for inexperienced hikers. Take plenty of water, snacks and take your time it is a journey not a race.

This is a scenic area with a 209' waterfall, tall bluffs and hiking trails. From Parthenon, go to Jasper on AR-327. Take AR-the 74W to Ponca. Take AR-43N to Co Rd 121 in Compton. Take Co Rd 19 to Hemmed-In Falls. It's a 30.7 mile (~52 min.) drive from Parthenon *All the trails in the area are on USDA website. The site gives a lot of detailed information about each trail.

Near goats trail, 5.5 miles, nice hike (should probably wear hiking shoes or comfortable tennis shoes instead of flip flops). There's a tall waterfall at the end (most time of the year) and it's refreshing in the summer to eat lunch by the waterfall.

A 130 foot waterfall that is absolutely gorgeous! A tougher hike than most. I would rate as fairly difficult, but well worth the effort! Local rumor has it that Billy the kid hid some stolen monies there! 31 miles from Ozone.
