I admit it: I love my micro brews! But this place also serves as the neighborhood meeting place. In addition to the hardy hello by the bartender, the locals skoot over to make room for newcomers at the bar; there are board games, a pool table and a patio. There is a community board with other local information if you're in the mood to explore. O yes - and the food is quite tasty with several veg/an offerings. Its about two blocks from Carroll park.

Old Major is #morethanjustabar! The owner Candace has created a wonderful atmosphere that you have to experience to fully appreciate. Be sure to ask about “Old Major” the pig if you go! Hint: “Old Major” is a fictional cartoon pig that has become their mascot, as an homage to the history of Pig Town.
