Locorotondo translated from Italian as "the round city" is been nominated as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. A perfect place to dine and explore also by night.

Locorotondo, as its name says in Italian, means round place. The snow-white town has a round shape and overlooks the nearby Martina Franca, giving one of the most iconic views of the Valle d’Itria. Among cummerse - typical houses - and flowered balconies, an aura of great care and harmony lingers in its narrow streets. It is really easy to give in to temptation to a typical aperitif or dine in one of its historic butcher shops, where meat is cooked over the stove. Highlights -Villa Comunale, the public gardens with a spectacular view over the Itria Valley. -Chiesa san Giorgio Martire (XVIII c.), main church with private chapels and an underground crypt - Piazza Fra Giuseppe Andrea Rodio, 1 -Chiesa di San Nicola di Myra (XVII c.), a chapel mixing ‘cummerse’ and ‘trulli’ techniques - Via Dottor Giorgio Oliva, 20 -Palazzo Morelli, an extraordinary example of civil architecture, with a well garnished portal in baroque art style - Via Morelli, 30 Coffee, snacks, aperitif, cocktails -Caffè della Villa, café - Piazza Vittorio Emanuele -Kador Gelateria, ice cream shop - Via Nardelli, 7 -Pasticceria Campanella, pastry shop and café - Piazza Dante, 9 -Mandragora Pozioni & Porzioni, cocktail bar - Largo Piave, 18 Restaurants -Pavì, cozy spot to enjoy aperitif or dinner with excellent wines on a panoramic terrace overlooking the valley - Via Nardelli, 51 -Belvedere, restaurant and pizzeria - Via Dura, 19 -Braceria Pietranuda, meat specialties - Via Martina Franca, 25

Being just 5 mins away from Trullo Falco this town has everything from street markets, fantastic eateries, local shops/bars etc and view simply to die for over the valle d'itria. Look out for its summer music/culture festivals that take place over the warmer months, its one of our favorite towns.
