首里城正殿を見学後に訪れやすい「園比屋武御嶽石門 (そのひゃんうたきいしもん)」。琉球王国時代に国王の拝所だった石門は、城外に国王が出かける際、“往路帰路の安泰”を祈願した場所だそう。扉以外は石造りですが、屋根の両側にある“懸魚(げぎょ)”の彫刻にも注目してください。
