The Trail Stretches from Midland to Coldwater - 16 kilometres. Paved trail, great for biking or discovering little beaches along the way.

This trail is paved from Midland to Waubaushene. Amazing water views along the way. Great for biking or roller blading. Most of the trail is flat.

"Tay Township is proud to provide the Tay Shore Trail to residents and visitors to enjoy as a natural recreational venue. In 2004, the Trans Canada Trail Foundation gifted the 17 km of abandoned CN rail corridor to Tay Township."

One of our beloved local "rail trails", the Tay Trail is paved between the towns of Waubaushene (at Hwy 400) and Penetanguishene. Beyond that it’s gravel, and usually well maintained. We love to ride our bikes to get a snack to bring to a beach or park, or just meandering along the way.
