Building of Gothic origin whose interior was covered with golden gild in the first half of the eighteenth century. This real Baroque jewel impresses by its decorative exuberance.

This is a marvelous hidden gem in Porto. If you appreciate churches, you can't miss this one. The outside is so humble you will be surprised...

Hidden behind a baroque entrance this tiny gothic and apparently humble church is a finding. The interior, completely covered in gilded woodwork, is really a rare sight. By Amass. Cook.

The Church of Santa Clara dates back to the early 15th century when it was constructed alongside the Santa Clara Convent. Smaller than its huge baroque rival, it is no less sophisticated for its impressive architecture and refined wood and gilded finishes.
