Hike your way up or hop on the only cable car in the Caribbean to reach Mount Isabel de Torres, flanked by a giant statue of Christ the Redeemer–one of the province’s iconic landmarks. On a sunny day it is very nice to take the cable car up to the top of the mountain in Puerto Plata to enjoy the great view down and walk through the National Park with many tropical plants
