Britomart's newest bar, Fukuko, is a small but perfectly formed breath of fresh air in Auckland's eating and drinking scene. They also have a solid range of sake, Japanese whisky, plum wines and the usual beer and wine suspects. the snack menu more than holds its own with dishes like fish and chips (done Fukuko-style, wrapped with toasted seaweed with wasabi tartare) and panko crumbed croquette (with sweetcorn koreke, mayo, chives & tobiko). At lunchtime, east/west fusion hits its extreme limits with 'japa dogs' (think a tonkatsu hotdog, or a standard frank spruced up with OPENING HOURS: Tue 11.00am-4.00am Wed 11.00am-4.00am Thu 11.00am-4.00am Fri 11.00am-4.00am Sat 6.00am-4.00am
