Aside from the obvious beautiful beach, if you park in field 5 you can walk to the Fire Island Lighthouse. It’s about 2 miles total, one mile each way. An amazing way to spend a day or evening!

Very clean beach, never too crowded. A little longer commute, but worth it. One part is nude at the very end, the rest is family friendly. Google for directions.

Robert Moses State Park Beaches about a 20 minute drive from My Happy Place. Great for beach lovers. Beautiful view from the Robert Moses Causeway - Part of the Fire Island National Seashore. Walkway to Lighthouse!
