It is one of the most consistent fossil collections existing today: shells of marine invertebrates, corals, sponges, fossils of countless animals. The fine limestone silt that covered them allowed them not to be influenced by external factors: some have even preserved their original chemical structure. The specimens, collected by the researcher from Ampezzo in the whole area of the Dolomites surrounding Cortina, were then meticulously cataloged by him.
