The Church of St. Elizabeth, commonly known as Blue Church, is a Hungarian Secessionist Catholic church located in the eastern part of the Old Town in Bratislava, present day Slovakia. It is consecrated to Elisabeth of Hungary, daughter of Andrew II, who grew up in the Pressburg Castle
Totally unique and different from most old churches you see in Europe and that is what sets it apart. Also check out the high school next to it designed by the same architect. It's about 3 min walking from your appartment.
The St. Elizabeth’s church built in the Art Nouveau style at the beginning of the 20th century is remarkable for the blue colour of its façade made with attention to detail with often use of mosaic. It is a popular place for weddings and baptisms.
