About this place
The Bocata is a traditional rustic restaurant, warm and historic, in keeping with the neighborhood of Old Montreal. Its menu specializes in seafood dishes, like house-made lobster tagliatelle, but also features a more unusual ‘snacks’ section—small plates reminiscent of a sun-drenched vacation in Spain. Freshness and seasonality are key here, and the chef relies heavily on local produce. Furthermore, a beautifully curated wine list with many choices by the glass and half-glass make this a wine-centric bistro.
Tips from locals
Seafood, Tapas and a wine bar. Nice atmosphere, one of those places that is gaining a good reputation in Old Montreal
Beautiful, candle-lit wine bar with small-plates for sharing. The fish here is always amazing. A great spot to grab a bite and have a couple drinks before heading to one of the bars in the Old Port.
