Located a stone’s throw from Battersea Park and offering a good selection of craft beers, reasonably priced wines, and an array of board games, this delightful gastropub is a firm favorite with Battersea locals. Wednesday nights are always crammed full of various local sports teams.

Yes, another pub. But a pub that rolls happily along pulling a trailer of quiz nights, busy gardens, wood pigeon salads and salt and pepper squid. But hold on. The Lighthouse, which much must have spent a sizeable amount making it look the way it does, also boasts tea-smoked sea trout and crab linguine. Ultimately, it does that clever thing of getting the necessary steaks and fish and chips right while adding fun bits of colour, so that guests who do want to go off-piste won’t be disappointed. Good, adventurous beers come as standard.

My favourite local pub, great food, great atmosphere, great fun. Beer garden with covered smokers area. 3 minute walk along the main road. Turn left out of the door, walk to next set of traffic lights
