This is a small Buddhist temple. For a donation you can look around.

Past the coffee mill, more macadamia nut orchards and cattle ranches sits a historic Buddhist retreat center and temple that is open to the public. The Dalai Lama visits here.

Beautiful Buddhist Temple and grounds. A nice drive through the Wood Valley forest into a tranquil and beautiful zen retreat. There are often speakers and events held here so check in and see what's happening!

Point of Interest
“This is a wild lave tube cave. I do not know if it is safe following the 2018 eruption. The stairs down are very steep and can be a bit slippery when wet. I advise wearing a bike helmet when inside, as it is easy to hit your head. Either side of the cave is good. It is always possible a rock could fall, so enter at your own risk!”

“What a great hike through an ancient volcano crater! Bring hat, sunglasses, water. 4 miles round-trip. Start at the "wrong end" aka go counter-clock-wise and the hike is a lot easier!!”
