This newly-opened restaurant in the heart of the action of Saint-Denis Street (a couple of blocks from the flat) is the casual choice for Québécois comfort eats like poutine & burgers.

I never actually tried it, but they do a supposedly great "pâté chinois", which is one of the few local meals we have in Québec. It's nothing fancy, just comfort food.
