Classic Paradise Valley Hike. Expect about an hour to hike up to the main waterfall, or 4-5 hours to hike to a series of high alpine lakes and waterfalls. Can be "crowded" on weekends. This is Montana, after all, our definition of crowded is a little different.

The road to Pine Creek Campgrounds is spectacular. Then the hike to the first waterfall as well and then the majestic rather small but tall waterfall...beautiful nature all around.

On the east side of this campground is the parking area and trailhead to Pine Creek Falls and Lake. The falls are about 1 1/4 miles and the lake is about 5 miles and starting at the falls, the trail becomes quite aggressive in vertical gain. This is a favorite of locals and tourists alike and many folks bring their pups. Trail is well-traveled but it doesn't hurt to bring bear spray.
