서울특별시 관악구와 금천구,경기도 안양시ㆍ과천시에 걸쳐 있는 산이다. 높이 632.2m이다. 북한산.남한산 등과 함께 서울 분지를 둘러싼 자연의 방벽으로,빼어난 경관과 함께 서울 근교에 자리하고 있어서 연일 많은 등산객으로 붐비는 산이다.
