Why locals recommend it
My Italian-influenced West Village neighborhood go-to spot is in a 19th century brick and mortar building. They play old school hip-hop and it’s always full, so even eating alone at the bar, you feel the energy. The farro salad with carrots, pistachios, fresh mint, and radishes is incredible, well dressed in vinaigrette that’s nicely balanced. They hold some tables for walk-ins, so even if you can’t find a table online, just show up.
Tips from locals
Hip, bi-level spot with Italian-accented American fare, a broad wine list & art featuring boomboxes.
