Nice small town on the Dordogne worth a visit for sightseeing, food, drinks etc.

Lovely village to explore with a river beach at the bottom and the chateaux at the top. The chateau is a museum of medieval warfare, great for kids, fantastic views of the River Dordogne and the Ceou.

A great castle opposite Beynac (held by English, Beynac was French in 100 years war) working Trebuchet (catapult).

Overlooking the River Dordogne, this chateau is one of five within a small area. It was particularly active in the many battles between the French and the English in former times. The views are stunning and the spectacular villages of Beynac and La Roque Gageac are nearby.
