Tips from locals
A great hike that takes you high above the coast with soaring views ( sometimes above the seagulls and occasional bald eagles), chance to spot whales, seals, and lush coastal forest. Huckleberries, thimble berries, and salmon berries can be found in the right season.
Spectacular View from the end of the trail. Great place to whale watch during whale migration. I don’t recommend taking selfies or small children on this hike as parts of the trail is along shear drops to the rocks and ocean way below the trail. Intermediate hike
Great 4 mile hike to the lookout point at Cape Lookout, or a 3.5 mile hike down to the secluded beach below. The lookout trail is more mild, not as much elevation gain. Where as the beach hike is all downhill and uphill. Both are totally awesome if you're looking for an outdoor adventure.
