If you love art this Museum is for you! It has a very large collection of art fro all over the world and time.
Located in La Spezia, the museum is home to an extensive collection of works dating from the 13th to the 18th century, with exhibits such as sculptural and pictorial works, as well as decorative items, by Italian and foreign artists alike.
Amazing private collection by an illuminated person. It is worth visiting it not only for the variety of the exquisite collection but also for the siege of the museum itself which was formerly a Monks’ convent.
The Museum is located in the historic Via Del Prione, right in the city center and in a completely pedestrianized area; open to the public in 1996, it is located in the ancient convent of the friars of San Francesco di Paola, settled in the city of La Spezia around the second decade of 1600 in a position of strategic importance as built, just at the exit from the walled city of the road axis that connected the Gulf with Genoa. In this museum we find the numerous works of art, around 1200, from the classical period up to the eighteenth century, donated to life by the collector Amedeo Lia. The exhibition spaces are divided into thirteen rooms on two levels.
