Kennal Vale, Ponsanooth – 10/15 minute drive away This is an old gunpowder works where they used to process the gunpowder for use in the quarries. Nowadays it has been reclaimed by nature and is stunning, particularly on a drizzly day as the woods help to protect you from the elements. An absolute gem of a place for dog walks and for children to explore the old buildings used for the gun powder industry that have now been overgrown with moss and foliage.
