What a fun way to experience life on the Island as it was many years ago....peaceful and beautiful!

We love animals and Island Farm has plenty. Pet the sheep and watch the chickens, take a swing under the Oak. Watch a blacksmith, and try your hand.

A working farm. A restored home built in 1847. Livestock and Banker ponies. At Island Farm, learning is emphasized by doing - visit, and experience the life of early Outer Bankers on Roanoke Island in the 1850s.

Island Farm is a beautiful, quaint 19th century farm that has been preserved to pre-civil war times. They have various events throughout the year and provide educational and hands-on experiences for children including candle making, animals to feed and pet, a museum. A pumpkin patch in the fall and a beautiful Christmas display.
