Worth every penny, that was one of the coolest stays I’ve ever had. The place was great, I would highly recommend it, it’s right beside the river which soothes the soul and Lulls you to sleep. I have to talk about the service, wow, incredible, I felt like royalty the way I was treated, and the main gentleman I believe his name was Dithu? He was beyond amazing, he went so out of his way to make me feel welcome, secure and cared for. He truly was amazing, all the staff were! As well as the main lady, I can’t remember her name! They also told me about cricket and we watched the fame while they prepared me a feast. Thankyou everyone for an incredible and memorable stay.

Friendly hosts, super clean and beautiful bathroom. The bed is huge. Uchith was really kind and he even put a glass to the bathroom window because I was afraid of spiders! Thank you so much Uchith for the stay!😊

This place is located next to the lake with many different exotic birds and occasional cattle passing by, very countryside-like. It is also located near the main road which takes you to Ella. Lalith is very knowledgeable and professional and is licensed to take people on Safaris to Yala National Park. He arranged a half-day safari for me with a very good company driver who took us to the park and made sure we could see the leopards there among other animals. I had a great time. Lalith also took me for bat watching in the afternoon around another lake. His wife was a super angel - very kind lady - cooked delicious foods and genuinely friendly. Their daughter helped me with my phone and computer too, omg. In the end, he personally took me to the bus station and made sure I got on the right bus to go to Ella. I was very lucky to find this homestay and am very satisfied.

This place is absolutely perfect. The location is ideal for starting a safari to Yala or Bundala National Parks or taking a day trip Ella. The resort is located along Lake Tissa, away from the road and provides a peaceful and quiet retreat. The garden is beautiful and we spent our afternoons watching birds and other wildlife from the deck. The place is well decorated and the food is EXCELLENT and would be worth the trip alone. While Tissamahara isn’t a bustling city, the resort is close to a few restaurants and it’s just a short walk around the lake to a busier area (and a tree full of fruit bats!). Madu, the owner, helped us coordinate wonderful day trips and the entire staff were super attentive and friendly. If you’re headed to the area for safari trips, this is a great place to stay.

Recommended, recommended, recommended!! Catch them while they are still under the radar! This place is just amazing, I wish somebody had told me so we'd book another night or two. The pictures at AirBnb are just of the cabins, but they are missing the camp itself which absolutely magical and the hospitality by Nishantha and the team, which is more than I could describe in words.. I hope the people at Yakaduru camp put up more pictures because this place has to get some PR they are amazing! Nishantha has great people skills and is doing his absolute best to treat every guest like a VIP, he is attentive to every request and is constantly looking for feedback. The team is following closely after and they are all going out of their way to make our vacation amazing. Special thanks to the flute player who warmed our nights by the campfire with his magical tunes! Yakaduru camp is just amazing. - Best food we had in our trip. - Their conservation work around the camp is a huge plus. Thanks

Wir hatten das absolute Highlight unserer Reise. Shehan ist ein außergewöhnlicher Gastgeber, der wirklich jeden Wunsch von den Augen abliest. Das Resort ist traumhaft gelegen und Shehan hat für uns eine unvergessliche, privat geführte Tour durch den Yala Park organisiert. Wir haben abseits des Massentourismus Leoparden, Elefanten und viele andere Tiere gesehen. Die Übernachtung im Bungalow mitten in der Natur auf einer Terrasse war einzigartig - wir sahen Glühwürmchen, hörten die Naturgeräusche und bekamen sogar Besuch von einem Elefanten namens Kumaare! Shehan's Wissen über den Park ist einfach beeindruckend. Unbedingte Empfehlung !! Er hat alles perfekt organisiert, von der Abholung am Flughafen bis hin zur Tour und Unterkunft. We had a great stay at Ziziphus Tree Villas, the room was lovely and comfortable. A special thanks to the hotel manager for his help when we had trouble with a breakdown in our Tuk tuk. His kindness and assistance made all the difference, and we truly couldn’t have managed without him!
