The host (or rather his wife) is very friendly. The place is really nice, high ceiling, with a large balcony and spacious kitchen. The bathroom is not huge, but very functional. There are appliances for longer stays (washing machine, dishwasher), as well as ovens and dishes. The living room is bright and large and since the bed is retractable, it is possible to enjoy it well. It was also interesting to see one of these typical houses from the interior. The neighborhood is very nice and close to the train station and the city center. Heleen lent me a bike to get around faster and “Dutch” 😉 and gave me practical advice on nearby shops and restaurants. It was a very successful stay and I am fully satisfied!

We had a lovely stay in Aerdt. We arrived around 7pm, Niels came right away when I called him that we had arrived. Warm welcome and he showed us the apartment. Very clean, cozy (smûk as we say in Friesland) and matched 1 to 1 with the photos. Niels then told us something about the area and answered some questions from us about the area and tips on hiking and eating. We followed his tips and were very happy with it! Wonderfully hiked on the clog paths and had a nice meal at the Eet-lokaal in Zevenaar. What we noticed upon entering: a plastic bag with some dishwasher tablets, dishwasher brush, detergent, sponge. Also a few coffee cups and a bottle of cloudy apple juice from the area. Small details that really give the stay that little extra. All in all very happy with the host, reception and stay. Surroundings a very nice bonus, if you have a nice sun it is wonderful to stay there.

Beautifully located house at the edge of the village and the forest. The kitchen has everything needed for home cooking. Sandra is a warm hostess who responds quickly. Now in winter fine house but in good weather completely ideal.

Sandra and Thijs were nice hosts, who welcomed us warmly and gave nice tips for the area. The ground floor is wonderfully spacious. Upstairs is a little tighter (clearly in the listing), but turned out to be good enough for us as a group of friends of 7. We enjoyed the garden overlooking the old church and the quiet, beautiful surroundings. In short, recommended!
