“What a place! Getting away from the city and really switching off! We loved the bush and took the Tora challenge walk - lots of sign of deers and pigs, we did find a few goats along the way. The Tora coast is magic, we gathered a fed a paua and enjoy that for dinner one night. The cottage has everything, very well equipped, cosy and welcoming. The fire place keeps the whole cottage toasty warm. The bed is comfy and all the fresh country air made for a good night sleep. Excellent host, very friendly and relaxed, gave great local information.”

“Even though we didn’t get to stay at Richard’s place we still want to take this opportunity to let everyone know that we had an awesome experience at the wedding that we attended and overall in Martinborough because of how Richard & Dom (Richard’s son) helped us get a different accomodation which unfortunately they had to cancel their one with us because of a family emergency that was beyond their control. It would have been the opposite and a different story if we we’re left hanging. But they were very kind and considerate (didn’t have to) that they did everything they could in spite of what their family was going through to help us find a different accomodation not to mention trying to get AirBnB to help and stayed on hold for 2 and a half hours. We are really blessed. I have heard stories how places get cancelled last minute and they were left hanging with no place to stay, I can just imagine the stress. But they didn’t let that happen to us. They are truely good people with big hearts and you don’t meet a lot of those now a days. So again thank you so much. We will definitely stay at your place when we come back to Martinborough, when everything is settled. Kindest Regards, Kathleen & Dan”

“I spent 40 nights here during the Covid-19 lockdown and I have never been happier. The location is unbeatable. The mountains, sea and house itself are truly extraordinary. Brian was an extremely accommodating and friendly host. The house is clean and has all the amenities you might need. If you’re looking for a truly remarkable experience, I highly recommend this place. It’s one of a kind. I will dream about this place for the rest of my life!!”
