Family-friendly vacation rentals in Totterdown

The lodge perfectly suited our needs with two dogs. We were comfortable and made to feel very welcome by all the staff we met.

We’ve just returned from 2 nights here and we’re very sad to be leaving! The pod has everything you need for a comfortable stay and has clearly been well thought out. The spot is very private and incredibly peaceful. The huge secure garden / field was absolutely perfect for our dog - she loved it. Lots of lovely footpaths nearby to explore too. Can’t wait to return!

Had the pleasure of staying at The Stables over Easter weekend. Well kept property which was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Great outdoor area with hot tub as described overlooking the garden. Nancy was a great host and very responsive.

A beautifully set up and self contained apartment. Lovely gardens and easy access to the countryside and the city. Being in a cul-de-sac and near the top of the hill also meant it was beautifully quiet and relaxing. The bus service to and from the city was excellent for evenings out and about. Great information pack to get up to speed on the local area and facilities. Cosy living room and great kitchen set up. The hot tub was a bonus to relax after the days spent walking the dog and exploring the area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Kate and Andrew were great hosts and super helpful to make our stay easy and stress free. Definitely recommend it!

Lovely homely stay, very comfy beds and sofa, well equipped kitchen and brilliant hot tub! Donna was so welcoming, helpful and responsive if needed. We went on some great days out to Glastonbury and Wookey Hole, plus Tyntesfield. The area was very quiet, the road did not bother us at all and we had an excellent meal at the local pub the Litton, would highly recommend.

Lovely little house about a 15 mins walk away from beachfront. Nice touches put on by host with fresh breakfast items available along with all the condiments should you wish to eat in. Bed really comfortable, clean and the hot tub was used regularly. Didn't need to contact host as everything was so well explained although Joy did state we could check out later if we needed. Great place to explore and would definitely use again of in the area. Many thanks

The log cabin we stayed in 'The kingfisher' was beautiful down to every bit. The hot tub was huge and was lovely in the evenings. Beds were amazing so comfortable! Was better than my own bed. So much room in every bedroom. All you need in the kitchen and was a lovely bonus seeing very cute cats outside our door every morning waiting for a treat 😊.

I can't recommend Garden Cottage enough. It is absolutely beautiful and was exactly what my daughter (who was revising for GCSE's) and I needed. First of all, there is plenty of space, with a good size bedroom upstairs and equally sized twin down stairs. The lounge is also very spacious but our favourite was outside. We ate most of our meals at the table outdoors, looking out over pastures green (!) and between revision sessions took regular dips in the outdoor hot tub which was so relaxing. There are supermarkets nearby and we also ventured into Bath which is only 20 minutes away. You will pay more for this private cottage but in my opinion it is well worth it and we will certainly stay there again. Thankyou Aisha.

Nicola's home was a home from home but better than. Extremely well equipped and if ever I couldn't find anything Nicola was extremely responsive in pointing me in the right direction. Nicola is so kind and considerate of me having two young boys and that things might end up in different places or even broken by the end of our stay and put me completely at ease. Entirely ok with me hosting my 3 year old's party here during our stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

An absolute gem, nestled in a beautiful quiet village within easy reach of the pretty towns of Bath and Bradford on Avon. Very well equipped with lots of personal touches which made it extra special .

It was the most beautiful cottage. Everything was explained very clearly in the booklet they left. It also had leaflets for every activity and event that you could think of! The country roads are very different to London but the views are out of this world. My teenage daughter was in her element and absolutely loved it. Wifi is provided as signal can be a little bit funny in certain areas but it was so relaxing we didnt use our phones much at all. We played the games that were left for us and also watched the hot fuzz dvd (which is filmed locally around Wells where we coincidentally explored a few hours prior to watching). We also knocked on the neighbours door and bought Eggs from their farm before we left! I'd recommend visiting Longleat Safari and if the weather is nice Bath boat station hires rowing boats per hour it was beautiful out in the sun! Thank you for the amazing stay we will definitely be back.

Lyn and David are the most wonderful hosts! David build the home from the ground up and it is very beautiful! We loved how homely it felt, comfortable beds, views that are out of this world and a really peaceful place to be! We can’t thank you both enough for allowing us to share your slice of Mendip Hills beauty!! Lyn left some homemade scones which were to die for! We have to revisit as we didn’t explore all the amazing walks and Wells in more detail , and would not think twice to stay again. PS there is a beautiful little shepherds hut nearby with the same amazing views also built by David (Lyn said because he was bored!) Hopefully David remains bored, we look forward to his next amazing space/s. We highly recommend you visit!

We had a wonderful stay at Burrows Court, a beautiful house in peaceful and nature rich surroundings. As a diverse group of adults, young children and dogs it met all of our needs for a special Easter break together. Samantha is a fantastic host, going above and beyond in making arrangements and providing literally everything we might have needed as a group. And the small touches were hugely appreciated…cakes on arrival, treats for the dogs, bunting for a birthday party. Wow. We are all already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you :)

The house was spacious with ample downstairs living areas and a large fully fitted kitchen. The two sets of double doors opening onto the beautiful terrace were a favourite feature and the views across the rolling hills towards Bath were a wonderful sight. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of storage. Andrew was a brilliant host and nothing was too much trouble. He responded quickly to messages and was able to give us a recommendation for a great Indian takeaway, as well as the numbers of local taxi firms. The village of Lower Swainswick is within walking distance if you're relatively fit (it's hilly!) and there you will find a Co-Op, a butchers, a couple of pubs and a few other shops. For us, visits into Bath were by taxi or car and took about 10 minutes. Thank you to Andrew and Emily, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very at home.

Great communications with the host. Ideal location for the Gorge and the beaches, but the immediate location is also good for walks & coffee shops. The house was very homely and the hottub was a highlight. thanks, we will be visiting again.

We had a lovely stay here over one weekend. The rooms are large and comfortable and the living room area perfect our group of 8. The hot tub is very easy to use and a great way to break up the day. Dana provided some great rocommendations for nearby restaurants and pubs and help with any queries we had.

Super, spacious home in a beautiful, quiet part of Somerset, yet with close (driving) access to amenities and the stunning cathedral/palace of nearby Wells. The kitchen is fully stocked with implements, the house is kept cosy and warm throughout winter (it hit -2 whist we were there), there were games to play for the family and the pool in the spa 2 mins walk away was large and lovely. The surrounds were formed of picture perfect English countryside, with grazing sheep in nearby paddocks and rolling hills meeting manicured fields. Highly recommended spot!

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful barn. We had such a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the use of the pool with our two little ones, who both wanted to spend all their time in there. Such beautiful surroundings and lots of wildlife to be seen, little ones enjoyed seeing the rabbits in field. We’ve created memories that we will treasure. Thank you for being flexible on our last day, it was very appreciated having the extra time to have a last swim! Thank you 😊

This was our third stay at Lois’s place, albeit the first in the eco house, as opposed to the barn. The house was both comfortable and quirky, qualities we have come to expect from our charming and artistic hosts. Unusual pictures, books, design features - one is entertained at every turn, while the leafy surroundings (the beautiful garden and driveway as well as Redland Green itself) make it all worthwhile. Lois or her husband Paul are always on hand to help you with any questions and have a chat with you at the same time. We heartily recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for something a bit different and off the beaten track yet within walking distance of decent shops, cafés and restaurants.

Brilliant place, Lois was an excellent host, we had fresh eggs, brownies and bread, which was a delightful suprise. The barn was lovely. Should we be in Bristol again we will definitely stay again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! This Airbnb was perfect for our family, including our young children. The cot provided was comfy (with mattress, which is so often not the case!) The home was spotless, cosy, and equipped with everything we needed—right down to thoughtful touches that made traveling with little ones so much easier. The setting was stunning—peaceful and beautiful, with plenty of space for the kids to explore and play. Our boys loved watching the chickens and playing the lawn games. We also enjoyed several walks - there was no need to venture out (and we just didn’t want to!) It truly felt like a home away from home, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to families looking for a relaxing, well-appointed place to stay in a gorgeous location. My only advice would be if you pay the extra £35 / day for the hot tub be aware that you can only use until 7pm.
