Cabin vacation rentals in Tromsø

The cabins are beautifully located right on the sea front, the island is stunning and its so so quiet, it is impossible to describe how peaceful it feels, I absolutely loved the fresh snow each morning like a blank canvas to start each day. We used the hot tub 2 nights and had the northern lights dancing overhead due to the amazing location which is ultimately what we went for. The cabin was warm, well equipped, clean and well kept, the beds were comfortable, and everyone slept well. The cabin was plenty big enough for 6 adults. Maria was super responsive and even popped round when we couldn’t get the hob to work which she fixed, she was also very helpful with where to go walking on the island and lent us spikes for our shoes. The shop is well stocked and we managed to get most things we needed for the weekend we stayed. The only limitations are the ferry’s to and from the island and the bus service to the ferry terminal but that adds to the quiet and isolation in this amazing place

Just wow! We loved the house, the location, sauna and hot tub! It’s beautiful and peaceful. Hans is a very nice host, helped and explained everything. We had the best time and hopefully come back one day. :)

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt gehabt! Check-In und Check-Out per Schlüsselbox und alles war frisch bezogen. Auf Anfrage hat man uns auch Trinkwasser bereitgestellt. Bitte beachtet dass aufgrund der Wasserfärbung eigenes stilles Wasser mitgebracht werden sollte, bekommt man auch in jeden Einkaufsladen. Der Coop in Mestervik ist ca. 25 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt und ist die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit. Ansonsten haben wir auch von Nachbarn nichts mitbekommen bzw. nichts gehört. Man hat tatsächlich ein schönes ruhiges Örtchen, mit herrlichen Ausblick und den Fjord und die dahinterliegende Bergkette. Der Whirpool war ganz einfach zu benutzen und ist ständig gewärmt. Die Sauna lässt sich mit Holz beheizen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche und würden wieder kommen. Über angebliches Viehzeug im Haus können wir nichts sagen, bei uns war alles sauber und ordentlich. Fahrt am Besten im Winter mit 4x4 und Spikes. Die Straße zur Unterkunft vereist gerne mal.

Absolutely stunning location - we didn’t want to leave!… The cabin is super cosy, warm with lots of space. Really great place to relax and unwind and appreciate the gorgeous surroundings. The cabin was spotless with traditional decor and the facilities at the cabin were great (for a couple or a family) Yngve was the perfect host - always a quick response and happy to help with anything. He sent perfect instructions. It was really easy to find the cabin (40 minutes from Tromso centre) and check-in was a breeze. Yngve also helped with great recommendations of places to visit and restaurants etc We felt very safe, warm and welcome. The absolute cherry on top was the hot tub - fabulous under the stars and trees!! We would go back in a heart beat Love this place

The property is as described and Fabiane was extremely responsive to all communication. The property is 1.5 hours south of Tromso. It’s a beautiful drive but if it’s snowing, it’ll take longer and if you’re not used to driving in the snow, could be a bit scary. You’re kinda in the middle of Senja and Tromso which I don’t think is that convenient if you’re going to either, 1.5 to 2 hours each way. If you want to be away from it all, this is the perfect place. The igloo is the showstopper for this property. It’s heated by either electric heater or a fire, or both. The bed is super comfortable and to be inside while it snows is magical. The hot tub is also wonderful. Being inside while watching the northern lights is glorious. The main house is fine but takes a little to get set up when you get in; water has to be turned on, house is super cold and all the rooms have space heaters. Not a fan of the owners food and toiletries left out but it’s their home. Overall, great…

The cabin was lovely. Away from any big towns it felt quite peaceful and the view is amazing. It has everything you need for a nice stay, and the hot tub was the best part for us. Really relaxing and lets you take in the surroundings!

We had a wonderful time at Cristina's place! We had a beautiful view at the northern lights and enjoyed the snow, while we were inside the hot tub. There was nobody around us, which made the place more serene and zen. We were just sorrounded by the beauty of nature and the sea. Exactly what we wanted and needed. Inside the hut is everything you need. Dishes, cooktop, utilities for cooking, nespresso machine etc. We cooked a few days there and it was great. The large windows of the hut allow you to enjoy the northern lights and the nature from inside.

This place is incredible! We came for a little anniversary trip, and really enjoyed our stay. The short (but admittedly steep, as others have mentioned) walk up to the cabin brings you to what feels like a super isolated cabin. We came at the right time of year to take advantage of all the berries right on the doorstep. The cabin itself is very cozy, and the modern amenities (power, water, heat) do not detract from the rustic feel. We spent most of our time enjoying the view from the very comfy couch, and already want to visit again.

The cabin was perfect to calm down and to watch the northern lights. It has really everthing you need (besides Wifi, but wasn‘t necessary for us) and it was so cozy. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definetely come back! Svein is a perfect host! He provided lot of information and was really helpful (we had some issues with getting a rental car in Tromsø). Couldn‘t have been better! Thank you so much for hosting us 🥰

Its hard to overstate our enjoyment staying at Andreas’s cabin. This is a beautiful location about 25 minutes drive from Tromso. The cabin is welcoming and private. The views are spectacular. But even more, Andreas defined an excellent host. He had the Sauna on when we arrived, always attentive, friendly and proactive. We ended up driving down deep into Finland to see northern lights because of snow and clouds in Tromso. And in no small part because Andreas was so helpful in advising and guiding our choice and timing. Far and away our best Airbnb experience. We’d love to return some day.

Die Tage in der Hütte waren ein Traum! Wir haben die schöne Landschaft, die Nächte unter den Nordlichtern, das Saunieren, die gemütlichen Stunden vor dem Kamin und das Langlauf-Skifahren in der Umgebung der Hütte sehr genossen! Die Ausflüge nach Tromsö, ein Tag Segeln auf dem Fjord und eine gebuchte Nordlichttour waren weitere Highlights dieser besonderen Tage, die uns für immer im Gedächtnis bleiben werden. Wir waren fast täglich mit Anna und Jon im Kontakt, die in allen Fragen sehr hilfreich waren. Tusen, tusen takk!

Cute little cabin in an amazing location. Everything went smoothly and the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful surroundings with a marina literally on the other side of the road. The northern lights were the best at this spot than any other spots we've tried. Very peaceful and quiet and not too far from Tromsø. Thank you for this beautiful stay.

In dem liebevoll eingerichteten alten Haus am Kattfjord haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und den herrlichen Ausblick auf Berge und Wasser genossen. Vom Küchentisch aus konnten wir Nordlichter beobachten! Die Elektroheizung hat gut gearbeitet, Dusche, Küche alles prima! TV haben wir als Radio genutzt. Sehr nützlich waren die 2 Paar Schneeschuhe, denn es hatte in unserer Woche fast 1 Meter Neuschnee gegeben - eine Bilderbuchlandschaft! Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Rigtig dejlig hytte med god udsigt og meget venlig og betænksom vært. Vil varmt anbefale.

The cabin is amazing and so is the host Øystein, he even came and met us at our car and helped with snowshoes and a sled for our bags. The location is beautiful and perfect if you love nature!

This stay was by far one of our absolute favorite Airbnbs! The cabin is beautifully designed, spacious, and perfectly situated to take in the breathtaking views of the seaside. Sitting in the cozy living room, watching the ever-changing scenery through the large windows, was an experience in itself—especially since we were lucky enough to see both the northern lights and whales during our stay! The location is wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by nature with almost no neighbors, yet still conveniently close to Tromsø. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals while enjoying the incredible views. The bedrooms were comfortable and everything felt clean and modern. If you're looking for a relaxing escape with stunning scenery and the chance to see incredible wildlife, this is the perfect place. We can't recommend it highly enough and would love to return one day!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mariann’s cabin! It was incredibly cozy and had everything we needed. The view is breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from the terrace, an unforgettable experience! Mariann was very responsive and shared plenty of great tips to help us make the most of the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended!

Dear Amadeus and Family, we had an amazing time on your beautiful farm. The place is truly beautiful. You lent us snow shoes so we were able to hike some snowy mountains, see reindeer and moose and even the northern lights. Tromsø isn't too far away so we were able to visit some pretty and impressive places like the polar museum or the beautiful cathedral. We really enjoyed our stay especially due to your and your family's kindness. Whether we had a question, were in need of firewood or snowed in on our way to the airport at six in the morning, you were always kind and helpful. You even gifted us some of your farm's eggs, some champagne or soda, just because. Thank you very much! We can really recommend this airbnb. It's surroundings are beautiful and you reach it easily. You can park direktly on the farm. The hut is well equipped and it lacks nothing. There was a snowstorm going on and we were still very warm and cozy. Check in and out were easy. The hosts are very kind. 10/10

We had a wonderful time in the cabin. Eirik was very kind and helped us with everything and gave us recommendations for trips in the area. Highly recommend Eirik as a host.

All in all a very satisfying stay. Nothing fancy, but just as described. Very grounded place to be at. Nice view. Rooms are small, but sufficient. Mikkel is very responsive and helpful. Recommended stay.

We absolutely loved our time at this cabin! It was so peaceful with beautiful surroundings, right on the waterfront. Only 10 minutes from the airport via car and was warm and comfortable inside. A perfect location to explore the surrounding areas. We even caught the northern lights on the last day from the balcony, what more could you want :) Would most definitely visit again.
