We created a space that combines the texture of old wood and the spacing between the columns with modern comfort.The spaces between the columns are painted and reused, and a cloth with a subdued colour is used to complement the existing wood.The diatomite-painted walls, the exterior walls made of baked cedar, and the soft lighting create a relaxing stay. Artworks by Masaharu Suzuki are displayed throughout the building.This is a special accommodation space in the city of Aomori, where modern Japanese interior design and art harmonize. The accommodation is on the second floor, and the entrance is separate from the beauty salon on the first floor.You can enter the accommodation without going through the beauty salon, so you can enjoy a private stay. This is an old private house with a full-fledged tea room built 45 years ago by a tea ceremony master as his own practice space. We inherited this house and have been protecting it while gradually restoring the neglected garden over the past 10 years. There is no TV in Shirotsubaki. Instead, we value making tea, gazing at the garden, reading books, and chatting with family and friends. Over 80 types of plants and trees grow in the garden, and the camellias that were once grown by the tea ceremony master are once again in bloom. On the natural stone terrace, you can enjoy reading or tea time without worrying about being seen. The tea room still retains the meticulous work of Kyoto craftsmen, and time passes quietly and calmly. During your stay, please choose your favourite from the authentic tea bowls and enjoy the experience of preparing matcha yourself. We provide a tea whisk and matcha. There is also a library where you can experience Japanese culture and art, and a small study called the "Reading & Writing Nook" bathed in soft light through the shoji. Shirakamado is not an inn for visiting tourist destinations. It is an inn where you can experience the peaceful way of life that Japanese people have cherished since ancient times.

This secluded guest house is located in the suburbs of Goshogawara City. We have a pet cage in the facility, so guests with dogs can also stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with an IH type system kitchen, fridge, microwave, oven toaster, and ice maker. In addition to furniture, appliances, and fixtures, we have a barbecue grill, so you can enjoy a barbecue in the garden surrounded by a peaceful view. The first floor has an 8-tatami kitchen and an 8-tatami living room, and you can go straight out to the garden. We have a single twin bed and futon in the 12 tatami mat Japanese-style room across the hallway. Toilets, washrooms, dressing rooms, and bathrooms are also available on the first floor. On the second floor, there is one 6-tatami mat bedroom and one 8-tatami mat bedroom, both of which are the type where you lay out a futon. In spring, it has good access to the Hirosaki Castle Sakura Festival, and in summer, it is a location where you can visit Aomori Nebuta and Hirosaki Neputa in addition to Goshokawara Tachibuta. In addition to Osamu Dazai's birthplace, "Soyokan" and "Takayama Inari Shrine" with dozens of torii gates, it is surrounded by various sightseeing spots such as "Rice Field Art" in the countryside in autumn.
