There are nice hiking areas in the community; local peaks like Horse and Himakånå are popular. It is possible to take a day trip to Preikestolen and Stavanger day trip. The climbing park "Høyt og Lavt" is located 15 min drive from the cabin. During the summer months (May to Sept) it is possible to rent a boat and kayaks. Animals are not allowed in the cabin. Skjoldastraumen is an idyllic and quiet place with opportunities for more activities and excursions. The place is probably best known for its saltwater locks that opened in 1908. The saltwater blades are the only ones in Norway that are still in use. The sandy beach on Notaflå is centrally located and provides swimming opportunities on a nice summer day. Also in the vicinity is the Straumen school. Here, the kids can play and play football. If you drive to Nedstrand you will not find unknown Himakånå. "Straumen is the Draumen"

Nedstrand. The cabin is located close to the path to Himakånå, and has good hiking opportunities. The property is fenced, making the place safe for children. The living room window has a great sea view. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds. Bedroom 2 sleeps 3: 1 bunk bed and 1 cot with length 150 cm. Please be mindful of grazing animals outside the property. Free parking space is approx. 150 m from the cabin, to get up you have to walk a steep climb. A trolley suitcase is not recommended as there is a gravel road.

The cabin is sunny, approx. 45 minutes drive from Haugesund. It is walking distance down to the sea with its own jetty and boathouse. Boat with motor can be rented for an addition to the price. Lots of opportunities for nearby trips.

The cabin is close to the river, with great outdoor area , outdoor fireplace and a simple charcoal grill. It is very centrally located just walking distance to shop, playground, sand beach, dining areas and great hiking areas. In the summer we have sup boards available for the guests.

This newly built one room apartment is part of an older farm house. It is located in the end of a valley, and the house is surrounded by sheep and chickens. The location is excellent for peace and quiet. It is also several paths and tracks for walking in the hills around the farm.
