Høgestølen is about 25 min from Hemsedal City Centre (Alpine Center), 15 min to grocery store, and about 5 min. to a network of cross country skiing trails. The cabin is heated with electricity and wood, heating cables in the bathroom and combined washer/dryer The cabin is steep! Car road to the door, possible to park right outside. Here you can experience total silence. In the summer there will be cows and sheep in the area.

Behind the house (20 metres) you'll find the river Hallingdalselva, where you can fish for trouts. You may borrow a canoe or a small rowing boat. Cozy dorm on the farm. The house was built in 1905 and has an interior from the turn of the century to about 1970. Large, bright and airy bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Kitchen and living room with wood stove and fireplace on 1st floor. The house is just by Hallingdalselva with great swimming and fishing opportunities. You can borrow a rowboat or canoes. Cozy little cabin with crosscountry slopes right from the cabin. Only 5 km from Hemsedal ski center. Simple standard. The sanitary is in a building ca 15m away (shower and toilet). 6 beds (1 sofa bed, 1 double bed 2 other beds). Recommended for 4 persons. There is no tap water in the cabin, but there is a sink, and it is possible to use buckets with water. Electric radiator, kettle, oven and refrigerator, coffee maker.
