Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Valongo

This was a lovely Airbnb for us with 5 adults and a baby. Nick was so friendly and gave great local recommendations. The neighbourhood is a short metro into the city centre, but had nice local cafes and restaurants and was very close to groceries.

The accommodation is ideal for families or large groups, the house is located in a pleasant environment with easy parking 15 min drive from Porto. I would highlight the kitchen that was very spacious and we had a fantastic time in the Office with its large table and large windows in the forest. The sofa area in the living room was more austere and we didn't change all of us. The only thing to take into account in the kitchen is that there is no dishwasher or washing machine. The bathrooms are all very well, one on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor, one of them en-suite, so the only one left is that there is only 1 bathroom left for the rest of the 3 bedrooms + those that are in the attic since they have no bathroom, although it has a small wash and a vanity. The best room is the one in the en-suite bathroom, the rest have bad mattresses, especially the 2 90cm mattresses. Finally, highlighting Mr. Arthur's very kind treatment, he was an excellent host, always very willing to help make our stay perfect.

A very quiet, rustic and rural setting. Sooooooo peaceful. Fantastic place to escape the city, get some rest and reconnect with nature. The outdoor, wood-heated bath was great, although it did seem a little decadent for just one person. Ideal for a couple. There is a river and Diogo (who is very friendly and very helpful) said he has a canoe. Although it was still quite cool in the mornings (early April), there is a wood-burner and an AC unit that also heats. The driveway is do-able but more for adventurous drivers. The village (Macieira da Maia) is very authentic and it is only about 10-15 min to the beach. Vila do Conde has a beautiful old-town. Many great beaches along the coast. Braga is only about 40 min, Oporto, about 20-30 min by car.

We had an amazing stay at the home of Eulalia! We were two couples with three dogs, unfortunately considered potentially dangerous breeds but would not harm a fly. While many other houses cared, Eulália was extremely welcoming and did not raise any problems. Of course, each owner should know how to educate and control their dog's behavior, and we had a super quiet stay. The place is impeccable, calm and peaceful, without any setbacks. All very comfortable, and both Eulália and her husband were always willing to help. I highly recommend it to those who want to rest away from the city, and enjoy a few days in the middle of nowhere. Only peace and the noise of nature ☺️

José was spectacular, the house has a very nice clean space.

The house is located by the sea (the beach is less than a 5-minute walk away) and overlooks a garden. We had a lovely stay there and were able to easily visit the surroundings (Gaia, Aveiro, Porto). Special mention for Hugo who is very available and provides good advice.

The house is very beautiful, privacy is an added value, the silence, the peace, the environment, an excellent place to relax. The double room is really beautiful, the outdoor space is excellent for those who have children. At night, the outer space, looks magical with all the lights. The kitchen is quite complete, we have everything at our disposal. We will surely return a day to enjoy the hot summer days. The hostess always responded to our requests. Congrats on this place....

The apartment was cosy, clean and close to bars, restaurants and buses. Ubers came to apartment. Very reasonable. Beautiful views when you walk down to Main Street from the apartment. Would recommend xxx

We had a great stay in the beautiful flat. The area was charming with many cute houses and it was easy to get around by bus. The apartment is small but exactly as described, with a modern interior and a good kitchen and bathroom. The neighbours are very friendly and easily helped out with check-in, public transport tickets etc.

Gorgeous very atmospheric apartment in a chic neighborhood! The living room is tastefully decorated, the house has a lot of vintage items. At the same time, absolutely everything is functional. Three fully equipped bathrooms, large volume of shower gel. Very well equipped kitchen. There is absolutely everything you need for cooking, pots, pans, all the necessary details, there is even a blender, a coffee machine and coffee capsules. The apartment is very spacious and bright. The living room and dining room overlook the avenue, literally one block from the House of Music, and all bedrooms overlook the yard, so it's comfortable and quiet to sleep. Very nice comfortable beds and pillows. Communication with Tiago was pleasant, he was very detailed and answered quickly to messages. Check in was perfect, we didn't wait a minute! Also, Tiago sent us a detailed guide with recommendations. I am grateful to Tiago for her hospitality and I am very happy that we chose his beautiful home. And I hope to come back again!

My family of 4 ( 2 adults, 2teens) stayed at the manor house for 4 nights in April. What a unique house! Beautiful building right next to the Se cathedral - right in the heart of the city. Instructions were clear and we were able to store our luggage onsite prior to official check in. The home has an outstanding view and it is light, bright and airy with outstanding period charm. The beds were comfortable, water pressure good but the WiFi was glitchy. The owner was very responsive and went above and beyond when my son forgot his cell phone in the apartment after we checked out. The owner facilitated immediate retrieval which allowed us to catch our bus on time! It was much appreciated! I would recommend staying here!

The six of us have had it super at Marcos . was also very nice that we could return to the apartment for two more nights when we could not fly to the Netherlands due to power failure. We also enjoyed Porto and we went to the city and back with a bolt. It is highly recommended. Super thanks Marcos

Really lovely apartment, quaint traditional style and furnishings. Brilliant location in a vibrant city, easy to walk to all the major sights and countless restaurants & cafes in between. There was a nearby outdoor concert on one of the nights and that part of own got quite lively, and the place isn't particularly soundproof, so I wish I'd brought earplugs. Would stay here again!

We stayed for more than a week at Manuela's place and had a great time. Manuela and her son Daniel were very welcoming from the check-in till then end of the stay (thanks for the delicious port wine!). The house is better than the pictures - cozy living room, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and lovely garden ... with a hot tub! Porto old city is 20mins drive, Aveiro is 40mins and Douro Valley is around 1.20mins from the place. There is a lovely restaurant by the river around 500mts away. Steep down and uphill walk but amazing views and very good traditional Portugese food. Good to have own transport (you can park inside or on the street) but there is a bus stop just few feet away from the house (we didn't use it as we had our own car). Overall a lovely stay. Thanks Manuela and Daniel for hosting us!

Beautiful home in amazing location! Antonio’s place was incredible. More than enough space for family of 5 with really picturesque courtyards for enjoying the mild temperatures plus it was just across the street from the beach. The home was well-appointed, clean and had all we needed to make meals at home. It is a truly special place and Antonio was a wonderful, responsive host. We loved the restaurant he recommended. Can’t wait to come back again!

We were in Easter a group of friends. It was at all times pending and available for what we needed, the house is very nice and cozy; the spectacular estate, a pity the rain for not being able to use the pool, with hosts that way it is nice to travel, 100% recommended. Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

The house was very lovely. Super clean and everything just like described. The view was beautiful. The city center is easy to reach by Uber. Clare was a lovely host. Very easy to reach and replied fast. She gave us a lot of great recommendations.
