Yes, Port Vila is in recovery mode after the December earthquake and parts of some roads may have been potholed by seasonal monsoonal flooding, but that is part of the Efate adventure. Get your papaya, bananas and vegies at local roadside markets, visit nearby Tamanu Resort Restaurant and Pizza83(with string band and kava on Sunday).

Sarka's place is indeed an oasis - it is quiet and peaceful and well removed from the main road. The gardens are lovely and the super clean pool was a fantastic way to cool off a bit. We slept well. And Sarka kindly left us a bowl of fresh fruit. Recommended!

Welcomed by Agnes and her smiles made our stay promising and lovely! Sunset view is guaranteed and well ventilated home. Agnes is helpful and responsive during the stay, so as the team with the booking and procedures of check-in. Had a great time at Russell & Tricia’s place! Perfect getaway. Both were very accomodating and allowed us to bring our bikes over in their boat. Had many great bike rides around the island. The area was beautiful and private. Ocean right at your doorstep and a huge private yard to play sports. The place came filled with lots of entertainment - books, pool noodles, kayaks, puppies!
