“An oasis of zen, I was charmed by the location and by the thoughtfully decorated space. Pete the Kitty is warm and welcoming, providing companionable silence while drinking coffee outside, taking in the view. Plenty of things to do locally: hiking with breath-taking vistas, relaxing hot springs, invigorating rafting, etc. I can not recommend Janet and Jeff’s place enough. I would definitely stay again if it’s available the next time I visit the area.”

“This was a WONDERFUL place for a family of 7 to spend the weekend! Plenty of space for all of us to spread out and relax! Loved the huge yard area with woods beyond, the horseshoe pits, picturesque barn, etc. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, and SO unique. Loved reading about the renovations and seeing the before and after photos in the notebook there. Janice was a wonderful host. Location was also very good; just a short drive to many beautiful hikes, dams, viewpoints, etc. We definitely want to come back to this place again!”
Picture yourself enjoying breakfast or grilling the trout you caught that morning on the deck watching rafters, kayaks, and fishing boats drift by. This cabin was built in the 1940's and though it's original charm has been preserved it has been updated to provide many modern amenities and comforts.
“Rachel's place on the McKenzie river is amazing! We stopped here on our way to Washington state as we were relocating for work seeking a special place to spend my husband's birthday and this was perfect! Rachel was a great host and communicated quickly with us and had all of the amenities you could need. We could not get enough of the river that is just below us on the gorgeous deck! Rachel has plenty of movies and books if you get rained in and offers plenty of gear for your outdoor adventures! We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this beautiful cabin!”
