Jokela School Summer House

Traditional Finnish summer cottage with a sauna building, a separate sleeping cabin, an outdoor toilet and a barbecue canopy. The place is located along the Matkusjoki river. Higher up in the courtyard is the old Jokela school (built in 1928), which we are renovating. If you enjoy authentic summer cottaging with the smallest additional comforts, then this can be your summer destination. We especially enjoyed the gentle steam of the wood-fired sauna and the refreshing dip in the relaxing peace of the river. Warm welcome to our summer place!

Peaceful studio apartment on the upper floor of an old village school

This lovely studio offers a peaceful setting for a one-night stop or a longer stay. The room has a so-called dry kitchen, which has a kettle & coffee maker and a microwave. The guest also has access to the shared kitchen on the lower floor, which is better equipped. The room has its own toilet and shower and the basement sauna facilities are also available. The forest trail starts right from the yard and on the other side of the road is the clean-watered Pyhäjärvi. The building hosts Hymyjooga yoga classes and sound bowl relaxation.
