Cozy farmhouse near forest and lake

We have renovated our farmhouse with knowledge of building maintenance, the environment and sustainability. The beautiful colours of egg oil tempera adorn the walls, and genuine linseed oil paint is a given in a house from the late 1800s. Nice tiled stoves provide pleasant warmth, and the kitchen is large and spacious. In winter, there are great conditions for cross-country skiing and downhill skiing at Romme alpin. An approximately 8 km long skating rink is plowed on our lake with access about 100 metres from the property. The house is situated near the towns of Falun and Borlänge.

Sunnanäng Hilltop - cozy with amazing views

It's easy to feel at home here! The bed is freshly made with sheets when you arrive and clean towels are provided. This is a truly cozy 27-square-metre cottage with a newly renovated bathroom and kitchen, as well as a 29-square-metre veranda offering a magnificent view of Lake Siljan. The cottage is located on a private property (5,000 m²) in the beautiful village of Sunnanäng, Leksand. The village is located along Lake Siljan, 10 minutes to central Leksand and just as close to Tällberg. There are nice walking paths along Lake Siljan nearby, both summer and winter.

Welcome to our cozy cottage right by the water with sauna, fireplace and private jetty. Here you can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, magical lake views and fishing right outside the door. In winter, you can swim in the ice water from the jetty, and if the weather permits, ski tracks are run up on the lake. The surroundings consist of berry and mushroom forests with beautiful walking trails. In summer, you can take a trip on the rowing boat or enjoy the evening sun on the terrace. The cottage is only 15 minutes from Falun and 45 minutes from Romme Alpin.

It is a perfect starting point for excursions in Dalarna, and in winter, Romme Alpin is 13 minutes away. If you like cross-country skiing, Gyllbergen offers low-mountain-like nature. Locally, you can take a walk/run in Smäcken or Frostbrunnsdalen, explore the spring streams, take a ride on the river, or a dip, or visit the ostriches a bike ride away. Gammelgården is located in a nice village called Övermyra/Österberg, 2 km east of Storvik. Distance to nearby towns is Sandviken 13 km, Kungsberget 18 km, Gävle 36 km. Bus stop, 4-minute walk. The timber house is in Ottsjö Jämtland and was saved from being torn down when it was moved here. The interior design is unique with Swedish historical furniture and objects.
