Family-friendly vacation rentals in Waikato

This was an annual 'three sister's weekend' trip. A very comfortable stay and a perfect location with an easy 10 minutes' walk to the local shops. Plenty to explore, with a great variety of cafes, coffee shops and restaurants. Local beaches are within short driving distances and a must go to is the Raglan Wharf for fresh fish and chips. The view from the accommodation was breath taking sitting outside to watch the sun rise with a coffee or a wine to watch the sunset.

I was part of a wedding party for days-long wedding festivities up the road and Jeremy and Rae's Tiny House was the perfect retreat from the chaos – as well as a blissful place for us to do hair and makeup looking out over the peaceful paddocks! Jeremy and Rae are super lovely, helpful and friendly and I really appreciated the little extras – from chocolate biscuits in a tin, to bringing coffee while we were getting ready for the wedding. Highly recommend The Tiny House for a rural escape that's not too far from AK City!

We loved staying at Bayley’s beautiful lakeview home. It was so bright and modern inside, the outdoor spaces were wonderful, and we LOVED watching the sunset each night. The huge backyard was fun to run around in with our 3 year old and we really enjoyed using the thermal tub daily. This location was perfect for our stay, our son had so much fun going to The Landing, Taupo DeBretts Hot Pools, and McDonalds in an airplane. The Taupo Domaine playground was also a favorite. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend staying in this lovely AirBnB. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked and the amenities and view were the cherry on top! My wife and I stayed here for a weekend. the house itself was stunning, very homely with beautiful decor. The views were amazing and sitting in the spa pool looking out over the lake in the evenings was awesome. Super private and peaceful place. We'd love to come back again.

Perfect spot for a relaxing wekend with friends. We loved how close it was to the beach and the bikes made it so easy to get around Omaha. Kate was super helpful and accommodating.

We used Joss and Wayne's place for a team building retreat. It was perfect. Plenty of bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen for our self-catering, beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Joss and Wayne were great hosts - showed us where everything was and then left us to it. As well as the great kitchen, there was also a lovely outside area with a BBQ for relaxing at night. Great venue. Would highly recommend.

Jonathan’s house is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you need. The lounge and dining areas are spacious and comfortable as are the bedrooms and beds. Nice outdoor garden with a lovely warm hot tub. Very much appreciated especially on a cold wet Rotorua day. The house is close to the shops, cafes, restaurants, groceries etc. Some interesting sightseeing areas are within walking distance from the property. We enjoyed our stay.

Easy to work with the landlady as we were a very late notice booking, and very accommodating for extension if required. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at Roszarri's and really enjoyed the pool! It was close and convenient to lots of things.

We had a great weekend here for the Ironman event. The house was really convenient for the event (five minutes walk from the lake) and a short drive into town. The house is very retro, which we loved, and really comfy to be in. Great that it's pet friendly and our dog could roam around in the large, fully-fenced garden.

Such a beautiful batch. Big enough for a small family. Beautiful views and the walk up to Mount Paku is gorgeous. Quick walk to the beach and a short drive to everything. Would definitely stay again. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Thanks so much again guys ☺️

Beautiful surroundings with a nice view of active farm. There’s a booklet of detailed “things to do” on the table which was helpful. We enjoyed bush walk in the private property and gone to nearby beach to collect some pipis. Loved our stay.

We had a great stay, the house had everything we needed. Very cozy and comfortable, easy walk to the CBD.

We had an awesome night at Clare’s BnB. The gardens and birdlife were really lovely, it’s just so peaceful. Thankyou Clare for your kindness. Even the dog felt at home ☺️

A great spot for a stay in beautiful Mt Maunganui… great beach access and a cool cafe over the road for a nice ce brunch/lunch option.

Great option to stay in the mount, good views and easy to walk everywhere we needed to go. Tidy apartment and we didn’t get woken by any noise outside or within the complex, which was nice.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Beds and linens were very comfortable, space was beautiful, and many local amenities within walking distance.

Mandy's house is located in a very quiet area. There are beautiful views outside the house and the interior is decorated with great care. It's a wonderful accommodation experience and highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Megan's place. Very homely & so nice to be in the countryside. Great outdoor space to chill & have dinner - a wonderful relaxing spot . Megan was warm & friendly - we will return !
