At the end of a quiet gravel road, down a winding dirt driveway, secreted away among the pines and along the cool waters of the Crooked River, you’ll find a house… -- This *highly* secluded off-grid eco-retreat is the only development on a 480-acre peninsula of property bordered by the Crooked River, home to landlocked salmon, trout and Southern Maine's drinking water supply. A quiet seasonal getaway for solitude seekers. Available for booking May through November.
“This tiny house is truly amazing! Fully stocked with everything you can think of, even pancake mixes, oats, rice, and skittles! Cups, plates, pots, pans- all there. Way more than any other air bnb we’ve stayed at. Plenty of blankets, pillows, wood for fires, games, puzzles, etc. The only thing we wish we brought is paper plates as it was tough doing dishes with water bottles. So glad we were able to get away from the craziness of COVID-19 to celebrate my boyfriends birthday with our two pups. We spent the mornings in the screened in porch on the hammocks listening to the birds, hiked during the day, and cooked over the fire at night. So relaxing and such a perfectly secluded weekend get away. We will definitely be back. If you don’t book, you’re missing out on this hidden gem!”

“This was exactly the type of quiet and relaxing getaway that I was looking for! The cabin was so perfect for me and my pup! It was clean and had everything we needed. I enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning, spent my afternoons on the dock by the pond and cooked dinners on the firepit. It could not have been more perfect. Thank you Josh and Megan! I will definitely be back next summer.”
Warm cozy cottage/camp with rustic features, sleeps up to 7, additional fees apply for greater than 4 guests. Short drive to beautiful Bethel Village with great view of Songo Pond. Access to pond via public entry 150 feet south of camp.
“We stayed one night - when we arrived our hosts had a fire going, showed us around the house, answered all of our questions and made us feel welcome. It snowed most of the night but by the time we woke up the drive was cleared - we'll stay again.”
