An historic cottage in a sheltered dell in the country near Makara Beach, fully restored Te whare iti is 10-15 minutes walk from the rugged Makara coast and roughly 35 minutes from the Wellington CBD. The preserved exterior enfolds very clean, warm and comfortable modern amenities. Importantly- you must provide your own transport as there is no public transport to Makara from Karori the nearest suburb, some 9.5 kms away. Makara is true NZ countryside with a windy, narrow road to match!.

Station Cottage, Khandallah

This is a comfortable self contained one bedroom cottage at the rear of a large garden behind our home. Our villa is well over a century old. The train station is next door and 20 minute on the train takes you to the city and Stadium. There’s a restaurant and a cafe just outside our gate and a 10 minute walk to the village where there is a pub, more cafe/dining options, supermarket and shopping. Walking/hiking up Mt Kau Kau and along the Northern Walkways is right at our doorstep

Lyall Bay has Iconic cafes boasting excellent food and a sea vista, shopping complexes nearby. It is on the coastal sightseeing route with numerous beaches, excellent walks and sea life seen throughout the year. Approximately a 5 minute drive from the airport and Wellington city 15 minutes.
