“The pictures don’t do the house justice. It’s a spectacular place. We loved staying there. It’s only 30 minutes away from Sunday River if you’re a skier which we are and they’re very attentive about snow plowing so we were able to get out without any problems. Definitely would like to stay there again!”

“Our wedding was scheduled at a large venue, but with the global pandemic we decided to elope instead. Heather was extremely accommodating, caring, and helpful in hosting us. It was one of the most amazing days of our lives and we are so grateful we chose Camp Wigwam!! The camp was absolutely beautiful! Very clean and well stocked with anything & everything you need just in case. The pond is beautiful, you just can’t beat the view. We would come here over & over again!”
At the end of a quiet gravel road, down a winding dirt driveway, secreted away among the pines and along the cool waters of the Crooked River, you’ll find a house… -- This *highly* secluded off-grid eco-retreat is the only development on a 480-acre peninsula of property bordered by the Crooked River, home to landlocked salmon, trout and Southern Maine's drinking water supply. A quiet seasonal getaway for solitude seekers. Available for booking May through November.
“This tiny house is truly amazing! Fully stocked with everything you can think of, even pancake mixes, oats, rice, and skittles! Cups, plates, pots, pans- all there. Way more than any other air bnb we’ve stayed at. Plenty of blankets, pillows, wood for fires, games, puzzles, etc. The only thing we wish we brought is paper plates as it was tough doing dishes with water bottles. So glad we were able to get away from the craziness of COVID-19 to celebrate my boyfriends birthday with our two pups. We spent the mornings in the screened in porch on the hammocks listening to the birds, hiked during the day, and cooked over the fire at night. So relaxing and such a perfectly secluded weekend get away. We will definitely be back. If you don’t book, you’re missing out on this hidden gem!”
