Chalet vacation rentals in Western Transdanubia

We stayed 5 days with two small children, enjoyed the place, its calm and friendly. Perfect in regard of value for the price, we got exactly what we expected. Its an old fashioned wooden chariot, if you want something fancy, it might be not the best choice for you. There are some mosquitos, better to be prepared, but it's completely normal everywhere close to the lake. The beach closest to the place is calm and quiet, easy to reach by foot, maybe a 10-15 minutes walk. For shops and other services you might need a car, but we could manage it also by foot, even with two small children. Without a car its better not to plan it as an everyday program, but also not impossible. There is a fish restaurant just on the end of the street. It was easy to get in the house, easy to leave the place. The host was very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Lovely and helpful host, very easy to handle. The log house is fantastic, well equipped, comfortable. You can also go with a dog, I recommend it to everyone! :)

Everything was perfect! The chalet is lovely, we especially enjoyed the terrace surrounded by trees which made us feel like we are in the middle of a forest. Eszter was very helpful and responsive.

The house was beautiful and we felt very much at home. We just thought based on the photos from a bird's eye view, that the house is secluded and more secluded but all in all not bad. Thank you so much for two great days <3

Very nice and special place to stay. Very close to nature with horses, dog and cats. Even on hot summer days, beautifully shaded in the forest. The restaurant was very cozy and the food very good. The pool also provided cooling. All in all highly recommended if you are looking for peace and quiet.

We had a lovely weekend stay in Tapolca! Judit was a great host, who met us when we arrived after giving clear instructions, showed us the house and gave recommendations for the area. She answered us very quickly with each inquiry and the check out process was just as efficient. You definitely need a car as the town is quite small, so to explore more of the other towns its a huge benefit as we didn't see much public transport. And there are plenty of spaces to park close to the house. It was a perfect little get away stay and it had all the facilities you might need. It is probably even better during the warmer summer/spring months but even in chilly February it was a great location that kept us warm and toasty.

The place is really nice, clean, modern and has really great vibe. And the surrounding nature was amazing as well. There were few smaller caveats here and there, for example the advertised grill wasn't really present (at least by our unit, I guess it is shared or something), the kitchen wasn't fully stocked with all the advertised supplies (like oil) but there was no problem to overcome these small hiccups and overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this place. Oh and be aware of the 300 euro (refundable) deposit.

The lake is great for swimming and is also only accessible to guests of the property. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed to bathe here. As an alternative, there is a great large meadow with stream access to refresh the dogs. In principle, everything is available in the house, but sometimes only in limited quantities (cutlery, glasses, etc.). A few small things were missing, such as paper towels, dishwasher tablets or a kitchen cloth.

The short break at Markus' was fantastic. The place looks better than in the photos and is well equipped. Everything is available to feel at home immediately. The house is superbly furnished and excellently cleaned. The view, the garden, the hot tub, the sauna and the entire furnishings of the house are ultra-modern; we immediately felt at home. Markus is a super host: friendly, accommodating, proactive but not intrusive. The house is perfect for both a short vacation and a longer stay. It's like a small private spa stay. Parking space with charging station was also available and worked smoothly. We were completely satisfied and happy! I can recommend the property 100% and I'll come back for sure!

A tastefully decorated house in a beautiful and peaceful location. The sauna and hot tub were a nice retreat after our hike. We had a view of the lake through the huge windows where deer were walking around in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay there, we can only recommend it.

An extraordinary place: a reed-covered 'hut‘ in the reed of Lake Neusiedl with everything you need, incl. Nespresso machine😊. Although close to the infrastructure you are completely on your own due to the reed!

Very nicely located and tastefully furnished apartment. Of course, you are not in the hustle and bustle, but in picturesque mountain scenery overlooking the lake - so highly recommended for nature lovers and hikers. Arriving is probably only useful by car. Dinner at the host's restaurant is also highly recommended (open Thursdays to Sundays). The only negative experience of the holiday was a heavy bathing dermatitis with our daughter to Baden im See. Those who are sensitive should be careful, and basically shower/dry quickly after bathing. But it's nature, the host can't help it. The decor should be supplemented with fans, because in summer it gets hot quickly especially in the bedrooms.
