Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Whangarei District

Went away for some R and R and it was the perfect spot. Was absolutely fantastic.

Karen and David's place sits amongst beautiful countryside a short drive from Waipu. We loved the space, peace and quiet; with expansive ranchsliders it is a place to appreciate your surroundings. Our hosts were welcoming and generous; and the space is clean, stylish, and comfortable. We loved it!

Ron's Batch (guest house) was a great stay for 2 days. The open floor plan and intimate space were perfect for our family of 4 (9 & 6 yr. kids). The location is slightly off the beaten path, but the roads were easy to navigate, and it's a beautiful slice of the northern landscape. We loved interacting will all the livestock on the property and watching the chickens, sheep, and Taka (their friendly dog) run around. Ron was a very gracious host and offered to guide us through his vegetable garden and avocado orchard, sharing his knowledge of living off the land. The Waipu area is easily accessible, and we highly recommend exploring Waipu Cove and Caves!

This was the perfect place for our family reunion of 14 people including kids to stay. The property has a great space in the kitchen, dining and living area to hang out and beautiful comfortable rooms for all of us. It was stunning to wake up to a view of the ocean each morning. Having the 2 large fridges between the butler pantry and kitchen was extremely helpful. Plus the sleepout is a great additional space to use too. We loved being able to easily walk to the beach and explore the rock pools, some of us even braving the ocean coolness to swim. Alan was a great host, always responsive and helpful, thank you! We loved it there.

Beautiful, secluded spot, rustic and thoughtfully put together - it was the perfect escape topped off by the wood fired bath. We loved our stay. Will definitely be back!

Kathryn’s place was amazing! We loved our stay. I couldn’t believe how well stocked it was. Everything we needed was there. It was extremely comfortable. The hospitality was so welcoming and we felt right at home. The view and the serenity take the cake though. Not often you get ocean, mountains, pastures, cows etc all at one place. Definitely recommend.

Thank you to Silv and Steve for a wonderful getaway! Silv and Steve were very welcoming, kind and responsive. The prepared pizza dough on arrival as well as being invited to explore the wood shop and feed the alpacas was a special touch. The cabin was very clean and tidy. It was beautifully finished with lovely woodwork by Silv and Steve. The wood fired pizza oven and hot tub was an extra touch. The marked walks on the property were fun to explore. The view was lovely. Overall fantastic stay. We will definitely stay if we head back to the area. Would highly recommend it!
