The Old Sunday School is in the grounds of a Grade-II listed Georgian rectory, opposite a medieval church. It has been newly converted and refurbished in an open-plan contemporary style, and finished to a very high specification. It has a private entrance and garden and patio area. Guests have access to the hosts' seven-acre landscaped garden in an area of outstanding natural beauty. In the summer months [May - early September] guests will have shared use of the outdoor pool with the owners.
“I chose this place for a weekend escape from the hustles and bustles of normal life. Right from the start the booking process was simple with Helen and Paul, I had a couple of questions that were answered very promptly and things carried on positively from there. Upon check-in I was given a brief tour of the gorgeous lodge and reassured that if I needed anything help was a stones throw away but equally I wouldn’t be disturbed - this proved very accurate. It was howling a gale outside so I got through the logs for the fireplace quickly but replacements were left out for me to help myself to as needed. What a lovely touch it was to have a vase of daffodils on the breakfast bar alongside croissants, bread, eggs, jams, tea and coffee. In the fridge there was butter, milk and bacon too. The place was spotless, warm and welcoming. The bed very comfortable and cosy. This was just the escape I needed and I will look forward to a return visit.”
A light, airy, ground-floor, single-storey studio apartment. There is a large kitchen and comfortable seating area, and a private patio / garden area. We are well situated for visiting Silverstone, Addington, Oxford, Bicester Village, Waddesdon Manor, Stowe Gardens and Bletchley Park. Also good for working in Milton Keynes or Aylesbury and for trains into London and Birmingham. The apartment has disabled access and ample off-road parking. We are happy to accommodate well-behaved dogs.
“A lot of other reviews comment on cleanliness. Can confirm the whole place - and there is a lot of it - is spotlessly clean. Wish we could have stayed longer as it is in a lovely location and has all the amenities needed for a good stay. Loved it”
The decor is light and airy. There is a private entrance into the property with it's own security light. You will enter into a small hallway with room for shoes and coats. There is a private bathroom. The main living area has a kitchenette. There is a double bed and a chest of drawers for your belongings. The room comprises of a 32 inch smart tv with sky. There is off road parking and the property is located at the end of a quiet cul de sac. Property is 10 mins walk from central milton Keynes
“Diana was a superb host. Even though we didn’t need anything from her as everything is there what you need she still takes the time to make sure we have settled I okay. As you walk in the place smelt lovely clean & fresh! Outstanding place to stay and great value for money.”
