Vacation rentals with lake access in Winston County

A peaceful and quiet place for a restful get away…one of the most beautiful views on Smith Lake. Lynn was very responsive and provided all information needed prior to check-in.

The house was exactly as advertised and what we had hoped. In addition the owner was extremely responsive to all our questions

Our family spent Thanksgiving week here and it was perfect! The home and surroundings are absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views of the lake! The home was exactly as described, it was spacious and inviting and perfect for a large family. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to prepare thanksgiving dinner along with many other meals. We had an amazing time creating lasting memories. Jay and April were incredible hosts who were always quick to respond. Spending Thanksgiving at their beautiful home was truly amazing! The serene environment and cozy accommodations made it such a memorable experience!

This place was beautiful! It was perfect for a nice bachelorette weekend on the lake and only a short drive from the hiking trails in Bankhead! Steven was a great host and was very accommodating. The views of the lake were beautiful! Cannot recommend enough! Perfect!

Great place to make memories with a large group! So cute and not at all cookie cutter, you feel like you are at a relatives lakehouse and are welcomed home!

This is our 2nd stay at this amazing home. The peace you will find here is unlike anything you"ll ever experience. It's so tranquil there, quiet and peaceful. You'll never need to leave for anything other than food, there's so much to do! There are many amenities here as well. Enjoy the theater, the games, pool table and ohhhh those decks! The outdoor spaces are someting out of a dream! The bed swing is definitely my favorite spot, although the master tub definitely competes with the swing as our favorite spaces. Don't miss the opportunity to stay here. You'll have a memorable stay! 🧡

Great place to stay!

This wasn’t our first stay at the copper penny because we love the location and accommodations so much! Really feels like a home away from home. Katie is such a kind host who is always responsive when needed. We will be back and recommend for a nice peaceful getaway!

We stayed a week with our 2 dogs, meeting our son and his family there. The kids loved our water activities at the dock. They had no difficulty negotiating the steps or the paved trail. The house accommodated our 7 really well. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen, fire pit and the views from the house and decks.

Very clean and quiet area. Tracy was very quick to respond to any questions.

I highly recommend staying at this lake house. If you are looking for a place to relax and have all the things you need to have a wonderful time then this is the place for you. Will’s hospitality and communication was the best I’ve ever experienced with an AIRBNB stay. The pictures of the home look amazing online but when you get to the lake house it is even more beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family's stay at Cottages # 1 and # 2. It was beautiful and peaceful. What a gorgeous setting! We were able to access the docks and rented a boat which we kept there overnight. As others have mentioned, there are 130 steps down to the dock from Cottage 1. Cottage 2's path to the other deck had less steps but you also have to walk on a rocky trail. Cottage 2's deck is covered. The only other issue at Cottage 1 was the steeper / gravel driveway, which has also been mentioned in a review. Cottage 2's driveway was level. It was okay for us because we had a truck with 4WD. We parked the sedan further up the hill. We didn't mind the walk to Cottage 1 or between the cottages, but an elderly person might. Otherwise, these 2 cottages were in a picture-perfect setting and we had great time there with our families, babies and dogs! Thank you!

Our other Airbnb had to cancel at the last minute, and we were fortunate to find this location and rent 2 cottages for Memorial Day weekend. We were so pleased with the setting! The Cottages (#1 and #2) were beautiful, clean, tastefully decorated, and private, with gorgeous views of the lake! It is on a quieter end of the lake with less boat traffic. There was a wedding going on at the venue but it didn't interfere at all with our visit. Peter was very easy to communicate with regarding questions. The kitchens were well stocked with essential tools. Be aware of the gravel road for the last mile of getting there. But again, a quiet peaceful place!

Had a great stay on the lake! Private getaway but close to Cullman and Birmingham if you want a little city life!

We enjoyed our stay at the charming cottage on Smith Lake. The location was off the beaten path, and we loved the area. It was very peaceful with beautiful plants and wildlife to see on our walks around the cottage. The cottage was very clean, organized, and well-thought out. The things I especially loved were the desk facing the window, the metal side tables with glass lamps, the roll-out shelves in the kitchen, the gas stove, all of the supplies in the kitchen, the drying rack in the laundry room, the big windows facing the lake, and the screened front porch. Kristina was very responsive and helpful at all times! She was always friendly and professional. I couldn't ask for more from a host! Thank you so much! This was definitely one of my favorite airbnbs, and we will definitely be back!
