The Cabin is on Woods Bay, 5 miles South of Bigfork. 45 miles to Glacier Park’s West entrance. Walking distance to 4 restaurants & another 3 restaurants are 1 minute driving distance. Besides the many restaurants 5 miles away in Bigfork. The Cabin is very private, but is on the same property of the main house. Our private beach doesn’t have a dock, but you can have access to 2 SUP boards & 2 kayaks for use in Woods Bay on request (rental companies charge $60/day/SUP). Bikes available too.
“My husband and I stayed at the cabin for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful stay! Darcie even left us a nice framed note telling us welcome and happy anniversary as well as some home made apple cider and spiced rum for hot toddies. There was coffee, a coffee maker and an espresso maker and all the kitchen amenities we needed to cook a nice meal. The cabin was sparkling clean and the bed, with it’s million different types of pillows, was incredibly comfortable. The cabin had beautiful views of the lake, though it was cold during our October trip and we didn’t spend much time down there on the beach. The cabin is on the same property as the main house but is still very private. We definitely felt like we were in our own space. We’d absolutely stay here again! There were no guests coming in the day we were leaving, so Darcie even let us check out a few hours late. Thanks for the great experience, Darcie! It made our anniversary hat much more special!”
Experience tranquility at this one-of-a-kind waterfront property after your full day of activities. Kayak from the boat dock to Flathead River and Lake (June-October). Bird watching includes more than 200 species including tundra swans, geese, ducks, gulls, bald eagles and osprey. Your entire studio experience includes 360-degree views from large windows. Nearby is Flathead Lake, Glacier NP, Bob Marshall, Jewel Basin, and picturesque Bigfork.
“This property is an amazing hub to experience the beauty of North West Montana. It's a relatively short drive from Glacier National Park/Going-to-the-sun road. It is also a great place to start adventures on Flathead Lake/River. Being able to park our rental boat at their private dock was a huge convenience (we did a overnight rental). The slough outside the house can get really shallow but we were able to navigate a 21ft ski boat to the dock safely. The included kayaking around the slough and river is incredible too. You are able to see the entire ecosystem underwater because of the clarity. We saw deer, lots of fish, a unknown swimming mammal, tons of birds and interesting plants.”
Modern studio cabin with a loft, full bathroom, and mini-kitchen. Enjoy porch seating for four and relax to the soothing sounds of the pond fountain. Wayfarer's State Park, on the shore of Flathead Lake, is two miles away. One mile further takes you to historic Bigfork Village, where you can enjoy a variety of dining experiences, live theatre, and shopping. I'm available if you need me, but the best part about the Stonehill Cabin is the privacy that it offers.
“Stone Hill Cabin was absolutely perfect. It was adorable and just the right amount of secluded for our Montana getaway. Upon arriving, deer were hanging out in the front yard which was a nice surprise. It was the perfect spot for our adventures to Glacier, Bigfork, Woods Bay, and Whitefish. We will definitely be back!”
