“Such a great experience at Jirayda’s place! When we arrived, it was sparkling clean, great instructions on how to get in, and answered any questions we had! We loved staying here and spending the New Year in NYC. 10/10 would recommend staying here.”
Private guest house located in downtown Yonkers and minutes away from the Hudson River waterfront. This guest house is located in a private area in the back of our property. It's easily accessible by public transportation. Want to get to Manhattan fast? We're only a 10-minute walk to the nearest train to Grand Central which is a only 25-minute ride.
“This place was really great! Although I did believe it was at the house listed in the location, it is actually in what seems to be a newly renovated back garage formed into a studio apartment. The place was really clean and the host was very quick in responding whenever I needed any assistance. She did also add a touch in welcoming me to the apartment by making a board with my name on it. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting to New York City/Yonkers area.”
Our space is perfect for couples looking for a quiet getaway, or one person looking for a comfortable stay. It's chill and relaxed vibe will have you wanting to stay in to enjoy it to the max! The space is newly built and sits on the edge of the Hudson River with stunning views of the Mountains of New Jersey. If you are looking for something to fill your time and don't want to commute to New York City, there is plenty to do.
“I stayed at Zen's place for two evenings while commuting for work. The location was perfect. Parking was easy, I just parked by the school as they suggested and it was safe and plenty of parking available, no worries. Check in was simple as well. The space was immaculate, and held a really positive energy. It had a very trusting vibe and I did not feel uncomfortable at all. The thing is, this is someone's home, and when great care goes into accommodating strangers, you must know that they are genuine and legitimately have gone out of their way to take care of you. It was apparent to me that they utilize the space that you are staying in because although I did not see them, I heard people coming in and out. Again, it was a very positive energy and I did not feel uncomfortable at all. You have access to a kitchen which was beautiful. I was in my glory because the products that they provided were all brands that I would normally use so when I made coffee in the morning, Trader Joes, I was very content! I have a very difficult time sleeping in places that I have never slept before, with that being said, I went into this already prepared that I would have difficulty sleeping. The bed was very comfortable and again, since I went in prepared, I slept fairly well. This is a older building with steam pipes running through the room, it is a basement so be mindful of two things 1) it is extremely hot 2) there is air in the pipes which causes unbearable knocking noises. The noise was so bad and so hard that it literally felt like the bed knocked. There was no air conditioning as noted in the advertisement, but the draft coming in through the window was enough to give me a little bit of relief from the extreme heat. I would suggest asking them ahead of time for a fan or something if you have difficulty with heat. I didn't get a chance to go out by the river and walk, I'm sure that if the weather was nicer, I would totally bring extra clothes to get out and admire the beauty of the Hudson which is literally in their back yard. #namaste”
