Rainbow Apartment

The apartment is part of the annex built in 1950 at the paternal cottage. This cottage was built in 1850 by my great-grandfather, my grandparents lived there and my dad and his sister were born there. The apartment has been slightly renovated, it is furnished simply and functionally. In front of the chalet, there is a grassy plot, which was long the vegetable garden and the only source of income for my grandmother who became a widow prematurely.

Located a few minutes' walk from the centre of Châtel, the apartment offers a pleasant base to discover the region, summer and winter (access to the area by free shuttle, stop 100 m away). You will find a small separate room with built-in closet, a bathroom and a living room open to the outside thanks to two large south and west-facing bay windows. A private and fenced garden completes the property, ideal for letting children and pets frolic.

This area offers beautiful mountain hikes. We are 10 minutes from the ski slopes, 15 min from Villars Sur Ollon, close to the Bex Salt Mines and the Lavey thermal baths. 20 minutes from Lake Geneva, 45 minutes by car from Lausanne.

Ideally located, the apartment is very close to shops and restaurants. The village center is a 5-minute walk away and a free bus is available to take you, in 3 minutes, to the cable car. A rack railway connects Leysin to Aigle.
