Description Bed and breakfast In a Glasshouse is located in Oostwoud, in the heart of Westfriesland. It is a cottage-style home located behind our glass studio, in the deep waterfront garden. It can be rented as a B&B but also as a vacation home for a longer period. There is, among other things, a Grand Cafe De Post around the corner where you can eat delicious food and a pizza eatery Giovanni Midwoud that also delivers. A motorboat is available for a fee. Hello, we are Bart and Marieke and rent out a unique accommodation located on the waterfront in the center of Kolhorn. You can unwind under the veranda and have canoes at your disposal with which you can explore the beautiful surroundings and the picturesque village of Kolhorn. It is located on the Westfriese Omringdijk, where you can take beautiful cycling or walking tours in the area. You can enjoy the beach and the cozy city of Schagen with the West Frisian Market every week in the vicinity.

The cottage is completely private in a very large garden with its own sunny terrace. Make use of all facilities offered including digital TV & internet. The lodge is located approximately 10 km from the beach and you can also make many nice trips. Visit Enkhuizen, the cheese market in Alkmaar or take the train to Amsterdam.

It is a 300-meter walk from the public swimming pool and supermarket and is fully furnished and equipped with every comfort. Our location gives you all the possibilities to explore the area and is very centrally located for fun trips to the beach, the dunes, the IJsselmeer or cities such as Schagen, Alkmaar, Haarlem and Amsterdam. Our B&B is located in the heart of Waarland, with Alkmaar, Schagen and Heerhugowaard are within cycling distance. It is a guest house for 4 people, suitable for a family with older children. There is no train station in Waarland, and there are no buses in the evening. Without a car, we may not be the right location. For stays longer than 5 days, a discount is given, but you must provide your own breakfast.
