Guesthouse vacation rentals in Algoma District

Amazing spot with a beautiful location right on Lake Superior. The lake and beach views were incredible, and each day brought different weather which made it even more special. Great birdwatching as we saw ducks, flickers, wood peckers, bald eagles, shorebirds, mergansers, bandits of juncos and countless more. Beachcombing was peaceful, and watching migratory birds land was unforgettable. The cabin felt really grounding. It was quiet and serene but still close enough to Sault Ste. Marie and White River for day trips. The host was friendly and super helpful with hiking and sightseeing tips. It was cold in mid-spring, but honestly, that added to the beauty. We would absolutely stay here again.

This was our second time staying in this cabin, and we absolutely loved it both times! It is so comfortable and homey, with the best hosts! Already planning to take a vacation there one day when we aren’t driving through there out of necessity, because one night is just not enough to enjoy such a wonderful place! We would live there if we could😂

Driving from Toronto to Vancouver this was the perfect stop. Great location and a perfect rest before taking on lake superior in the fullest. Thunderbay is 6 or 7 hours further so this was the best way to stop and spend the day. Host was super kind and responsive. Place was private, clean, and comfortable. Thanks again!!

We really enjoyed our stay, the view and the hosts left out lots of little extras like breakfast for the first morning, coffee, tea, eggs, milk, as well as a little for the evening like wine, beer and homemade brownies, so delicious! They were also very responsive Will definitely recommend them to others and come back

Really enjoyed our stay at Paulina’s. Very close to where we wanted to be. The place was very clean and cozy. It had all the necessities that you would need. It snowed a ton the first night we were there, and someone was there early plowing the driveway. Would stay there again

My husband and I wanted a weekend away. Away from the kids, away from the house, away from everything. We are so fortunate to have found The Rookery! We had a wonderful, peaceful weekend and really got to get back to the basics! We enjoyed our coffee on the screened in porch listening to the waves and birds for 2 fantastic mornings - the sunrise was one of the most beautiful we had ever seen. We explored the island, played games, watched movies, slept in, cuddled on the couch, and just really took time to enjoy each other's company. The anemities offered by Janet and Steve at The Rookery made packing so easy, which made our planning a breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent at the Rookery, and we can't wait to visit again! Thank you for offering such a beautiful space, and thank you for the goody basket as well!!

It was like walking into the home of someone who was just away for a few days and let you use their home in their absence. We loved the pictures, knick knacks and the like. The well stocked cupboards made us feel welcome. We did enjoy the birds at the bird feeder. Also, it was so quiet and peaceful. The river is in the backyard. We walked to the boat launch which was two houses over and then walked along the river. Everything was nice and clean and comfortable. We have been through Iron Bridge hundreds of times and never been off the main road, we were thrilled to find this hidden gem. We wished that we could stay longer. Best homeshare we ever experienced. It was amazing.

The whole place had wonderful views. We met our hosts and they are friendly nice. Ee will definitely try and come back. I also caught a fish on my first cast off their docks, sooo for you fisherpersons out there???????

Cindy’s place was a beautiful place for my friend and I to get away from our busy lives and relax for the night. The guesthouse was beautiful and pristine. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing night away.

My husband came to Sault St Marie for work and stayed here. He really liked the location and building. The suite was clean, quiet and comfortable. My husband's work schedule had changed while he was there, and Sarah was very accommodating with the check in and check out and moving him to an available suite in the same building so he could stay in town for work. Would definitely stay here again!
